Fieldstone chullpa at Kala Uta near Quehuaya / Qiwaya, totora reed beds in background, Lake Titicaca, Bolivia
The site of Kala Uta (which means Stone House) contains at least 50 chulpas on the shore of Titicaca's Inner Lake. The site is probably dates from the period between the Tiwanaku and Inca civilisations.
