Grape vine carvings on pillars of entrance facade of Santo Domingo church, La Paz, Bolivia
The ornate Andean mestizo baroque style facade of Santo Domingo church dates from around 1760. It is particularly noted for its stone carvings of fruit, especially grape vines on the columns. Note also the pineapple carving at top centre of image.
