Isluga volcano and Central Andean dry puna desert, Isluga National Park , Region I , Chile
The active Isluga volcano (5550m / 18,210ft) has a 400m wide crater. Its last confirmed eruption was in 1913, in 1878 lava flows destroyed several nearby villages. Reports of an eruption in 1960 are unconfirmed.
