Wapululos dancers from Lampa village build a human pyramid in Parque Pino, Puno, Peru
The tradition of performing ancient street dances and building human pyramids or castells is called Muixeranga and originated in what was then the Kingdom of Valencia in Spain (it is particularly associated with the town of Algemesí). Catalonia also has a similar, though slightly different, tradition of building castells / human towers.
