Argentina is the 2nd largest country in South America. Stretching from the Tropic of Capricorn to the wild windswept southern regions of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego it contains an amazing variety of landscapes. The Andes mountains run down its entire western border and Mt Aconcagua (the highest peak in the world outside the Himalayas) is found here. Its capital, Buenos Aires, is one of the best known South American cities.
