Masked dancers at Paucartambo
Paucartambo is a pretty highland village in the Andes about 3 hours from Cusco. Quiet and little visited for most of the year, it explodes into life in mid July for the festival of the Virgen del Carmen, one Peru's most colourful and unique festivals.
