San Ignacio de Moxos is found in lowland Beni department some 89km from Trinidad, and was founded by the Jesuits on 31 July 1689. Every year around that date the village bursts in to life as it celebrates its anniversary in one of lowland Bolivia's most impressive festivals. A mixture of Jesuit and indigenous traditions can be seen in the dances, colourful costumes and religious ceremonies. Many new images of this years event have now been added, as well as images from Cochabamba in central Bolivia.
