Cerro or Mount Fitzroy is arguably the most impressive feature of the Los Glaciares National Park near El Calafate in the Argentine Patagonia. Other well known wonders in the region include the Perito Moreno glacier and the sheer granite needle of Cerro Torre.

Mt. Fitzroy and Laguna de los Tres

The sheer granite walls of Mt. Fitzroy rise above the turquoise glacial lake at its base, Laguna de los Tres (or "Lake of the Three"); named in honour of the three Frenchmen who's expedition became the first to scale the peak in January 1963.
