Trekkers at Torres del Paine

Trekkers arrive at the base of the awesome Torres del Paine, one of South America's natural wonders and a major challenge for rock climbers. In the background are (L) the South or de Agostini Tower (2850m / 9,350ft) and the Central Tower (2800m / 9,186ft). The Central Tower was first climbed in January 1963 by the British pair Bonnington and Williams, the South Tower later the same year by an Italian expedition.
