Rock Arch, Incahuasi Island

A natural rock arch, one of several curious formations on Incashuasi Island (sometimes mistakenly called Fish Island). The island is formed of volcanic rock covered with coral-like formations and sedimentary layers; consistent with the theory that the Salar is a remnant (as is Lake Titicaca) of a much larger lake called Minchin by geologists that covered the entire altiplano millenia ago.
