Lanin National Park covers 379,000 hectares of Argentina's northern Patagonia region or Lake District. The Lanin volcano (3776m / 12,390ft) is the highest in the region and sits on the Argentina/Chile border; the Park it also noted for its beautiful glacial lakes and extensive forests (especially southern beech and araucaria).
