Lanin National Park

Lanin National Park covers 379,000 hectares of Argentina's northern Patagonia region or Lake District. The Lanin volcano (3776m / 12,390ft) is the highest in the region and sits on the Argentina/Chile border; the Park it also noted for its beautiful glacial lakes and extensive forests (especially southern beech or nothofagus and araucaria).

A crystal clear stream flows into the blue waters of Lake Huechulafquen, who's shores are the home of scattered southern beech or Nothofagus trees. Much of this part of Argentina is famous worldwide for its trout fishing.
