Porter below Dead Woman Pass

Porters are commonly used to carry luggage on the Inca Trail, a job which provides useful extra income for many local communities. Dead Woman Pass (or Warmawiñusca) is the highest point on the classic Trail at 4200m / 13,780ft and receives its name as its outline supposedly resembles the form of a reclining woman (nothing to do with its effect on female trekkers!)
