Pepino figure, llamas (Lama glama) and Parinacota volcano, Sajama National Park, Bolivia
The pepino is a traditional character associated with Carnival, especially in La Paz. Here one has been raised on a post next to a llama corral during the Carnival season. Parinacota (6330m / 20,765ft) is one of the Payachatas ("twin" in the Aymara language) volcanos which lie on the Bolivia / Chile border.
