Rectangular corral in a Chipaya community made from flat, sedimentary, stromatolite rocks, Oruro Department, Bolivia
These stone slabs are made of the crust of stromatolite / fossilised maritime deposits formed when the whole altiplano region was covered by the huge prehistoric Lakes Minchin and Tauca.
