Entrance to Pukara San Lorenzo, Azapa Valley, Region XV , Chile
Pukara San Lorenzo is a fortified village that is thought to date from the Tiahuanaco period (300-1100 AD). It sits on a low ridge with commanding views up and down the Azapa Valley near the village of San Miguel de Azapa, about 12km from Arica.
