Petroglyphs at Ofragía near Codpa, Region XV, Chile
Over 400 petroglyphs have been described at Ofragía, they are thought to date from the Late Intermediate Period (1000-1400AD) though some may be older. The site was on an important ancient trade route and also seems to have been of ceremonial importance. More images of other petroglyphs from Ofragía are available if interested. The crosses on the lower part of the slab were probably carved after the Spanish conquest when catholicism was introduced to the region.
