Red cantuta flowers (Cantua buxifolia)
Found in the altiplano and Andean valleys in Peru and Bolivia. It is the national flower of both countries - the common red colour version in Peru, the Bolivian national flower is a version with red petals, yellow tube and green calyx. There are also various Inca and pre-Inca legends about the flower.
