Mining contamination in Laguna Milluni after fresh snowfall, Cordillera Real, Bolivia
The reddish color in Lake Milluni is the result of contamination from nearby mines - Milluni used to be the main smelting centre for many tin mines in the area, several of which are still exploited by cooperatives.
