Arma Christi / Arms of Christ cross outside Puno cathedral , Peru
These crosses are common in Peru and include various instruments of the passion, such as the ladder, spear, rod and sponge. This one also includes the sacred heart and the sun and moon (which were important deities to the Incas and indigenous people). The cockerel at the base of the cross refers to Peter's denial of Jesus.
