Monument to Dr Manuel Pino and War of the Pacific victims, Plaza Pino, Puno, Peru
Manuel Pino was born in Puno in 1827; he was a lawyer and later deputy for Puno in government. He fought as a soldier in the War of the Pacific against Chile and was killed in the Battle of Miraflores, Lima on 15th January 1881. This monument is dedicated to him and all the people from Puno who lost their lives during the war.
