Entrance archway and belfry of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción church, Juli, Puno Region, Peru
Nuestra Señora de la Asunción church was built from 1568-1602. Work was started by the Dominicans and completed by the Jesuits. The Jesuits were expelled from the region before the massive, ornate belfry could be completed.
