Man plaiting 3 thick grass ropes together to make the foundation ropes for rebuilding the bridge, Q'eswachaka , Canas province , Peru

3 thick ropes are plaited together to make the main foundation ropes. 6 foundation ropes in total are needed to rebuild the bridge. Other men stand on the newly plaited rope to stop the plaits loosening.
