New foundation ropes in position across the canyon, Q'eswachaka , Canas province , Peru
Once the foundation ropes are in position teams of men on each side of the bridge pull them to the correct tension. At the same time the position of the ropes around the stone anchor points is adjusted so the ropes remain tight.
