Adult Andean gull (Larus or Chroicocephalus serranus) in transition between winter / non-breeding and summer / breeding plumage
Common near lakes, rivers, wetlands, fields and sometimes urban habitats in Andes from Colombia south to Chile and Argentina. Can be found anywhere between 2000-5000m+ and occasionally in coastal areas. Local name: gaviota andina.
