Andean painted lady butterfly (Vanessa altissima)
One of the smallest painted lady species, normally found at altitudes between approx. 2000-3300m in Andes of Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. Occurs in disturbed cloudforest habitats, often in areas of scree beside mountain streams or rockfalls.
