Chilean iguana or Spotted false monitor ( Callopistes maculatus atacamensis )
Also called Dwarf tegu. Endemic to Chile from southern Atacama Desert (Antofagasta Region) to Maule / Biobio region, the atacamensis subspecies is found in coastal areas in Copiapo province. Local names: iguana chilena, liguana, lagarto salmón.
