Young Fer-de-lance or common lancehead snake (Bothrops atrox)
A common, venemous pit viper that normally grows to a length of 75–125cm (30-50"). Found in Amazon basin and tropical lowlands of South America to the east of the Andes. Local names: barba amarilla, mapaná, talla equis, labaria, jergón, jergona, jergón de la selva.
