Santo Tomás (St Thomas) church in Isluga village dates from the 17th / 18th centuries. It is built of rough stone and plastered with adobe (mud / clay) and lime. The separate bell tower is its most distinctive feature and the style is typical of the rustic churches of the period in the altiplano regions of northern Chile.
