These adobe (mud brick) chullpas at Culli Culli Alto (also written Kulli Kulli) are thought to have been built by the Pacajes culture in the 13th - 15th centuries. There are 82 chulpas on the site, many badly deteriorated by exposure to the weather. The site is at an altitude of 3,750m / 12,300ft in the altiplano near the village of Lahuachaca in Sica Sica district, Aroma Province in the south of La Paz Department.
