During the festival people often go to a part of the mountainside and arrange stones in the form of plots of land and small houses, after which they perform a blessing ceremony called ch'alla. They believe that if they perform this ceremony 3 years running they will be able to afford a new house and land. It is an old tradition in rural areas similar to the Alasitas / miniatures festival. Note the propiedad privada / private property signs among the stones.
