The painting above the fireplace is of Antonio López (Lópes) de Quiroga (approx 1620 - 1699), an important silver mine owner in Potosí. He was born in Galicia, Spain and was the leading silver producer of Potosí (and possibly of all Spanish America) in the seventeenth century.
