Bust of General Esteban Arze in Plaza Aroma, Tarata, Cochabamba Department, Bolivia

Esteban Mariano Arze (or Arce) Alba y Uriona was born in Tarata in 1765. He is best known for being one of the leaders of the Cochabamba Revolution in 1810 and defeating Spanish forces at the Battle of Aroma in the same year.
