This image clearly shows the Coalsack Dark Nebula in the centre. It is one of the dark constellations recognised by the Incas, who called it Yutu (the tinamou or ground partridge). The 2 bright stars above it are Alpha and Beta Centauri, part of Centaurus / The Centaur constellation. The Incas called the large dark nebula above them Urcuchillay. the Llama; Alpha and Beta Centauri are the eyes of the llama.
