During his Day of the Sea speech in 2013 Evo Morales said that he would shortly be sending a commission to the International Court in The Hague to present a demand that Chile should renegotiate Bolivia's claim for sovereign access to the Pacific. The demand was formally presented on 24th April 2013, the case is likely to last for several years.
