Wooden rowing boat and dead totora reeds next to stone causeway across Inner Lake / Huiñay Marka between Belen Yeyes and Cumana, Lake Titicaca, Bolivia
Image taken August 18th 2023, compare with the last image in the gallery with a truck on the same causeway, taken on 19th July 2015 with more normal winter dry season levels. Cumana village and the hills on right of this image are on an island, connected to the mainland by this road on a causeway about 1km long across Cohana Bay. In normal low water levels there is usually a channel of water between the island from the mainland and the water (partly) covers the culverts you can see in its base. In wet rainy seasons the causeway may be completely under water.
