Devotees carry figure of Virgen Dolorosa during Good Friday procession , Cusco , Peru
The red colour on the base are ñucchu flowers, which are common in the Cusco region which flower around Easter time. They are said to represent the blood of Christ, during Easter they are thrown over the dead body of Jesus, saints, crucifixes etc.
