Adult male mourning sierra-finch (Phrygilus fruticeti)
Common in shrubby and cultivated areas in the Andes from northern Peru south to southern Chile and Argentina. Usually at altitudes between 2000-4000m, lower in southern part of its range. Local names: yal negro, yal.
