La Tropilla geoglyphs , Azapa Valley , Region XV , Chile
The "La Tropilla" panel on the side of Cerro Sombrero is part of the Atoka Sector of geoglyphs in the Azapa Valley. They show a group of llamas with unusual human figures, probably representing the llama caravans that used to descend from the mountains to the lowlands to exchange goods and agricultural products. They are thought to date from between 1000 and 1400AD.
