Nicotiana glauca, commonly known as tree tobacco
Nicotiana glauca is a species of wild tobacco native to South America that has been introduced to other continents where it is common. It has mildly hallucinogenic and narcotic properties as it contains the toxic alkaloid anabasine. It also has medicinal uses, especially for treating swellings, bruises and inflammations. In Andean countries it is most common in valleys between 2800 and 3200m. In Peru it is called supaicarco.
