Waka tintis musician playing a waka pinquillo and drum / wank'ara, Umala, Bolivia

Waka tintis is a dance of colonial origin from the Umala area, Aroma Province of La Paz Department. The musicians play a flute called a waka pinquillo (which has only 3 holes ) and a drum called a wank'ara. The dance is usually performed during the potato sowing season and on any saint's days that occur around the same time (September / October).
