Plaque with brief history of building on wall of Casa Bolognesi, Arica, Region XV, Chile .
Casa Bolognesi is named after the Peruvian army commander Coronel Francisco Bolognesi. It was in this building he refused to sign a treaty on 5th June 1880 surrendering Arica to the Chileans during the Pacific War. After the war it became the property of the Peruvian State and is now the Peruvian Consulate building.
