Woman weaving new ropes from grass to rebuild the bridge , Q'eswachaka , Canas province , Peru
Around 2,500 locals (both men and women) from nearby communities contribute new ropes made from a grass called qooya or cc'olla for the new bridge. The grass used for the bridge is approx 40cm long; the thin ropes being made in this image (which are the first part of the process) are around 40m in length!
