Cantuta bush in flower (Cantua buxifolia) next to Pre-Inca ruins, Capachica Peninsula, Puno Department, Peru
Found in the altiplano and Andean valleys in Peru and Bolivia. It is the national flower of both countries. There are also various Inca and pre-Inca legends about the flower.
