Ch'uta dancing with cholitas at San Antonio de Abad festival in Caquiaviri, Bolivia
Ch'utas are a character particularly associated with Carnival celebrations in La Paz and the surrounding area. The tradition is said to have originated in Caquiaviri. The festival in honour of San Antonio de Abad takes place in mid January and is considered to be the start of Carnival celebrations.
