Upper half of main entrance facade of Santa Cruz of Jerusalem church, Juli, Puno Region, Peru
The Santa Cruz de Jerusalén / Santa Cruz of Jerusalem church was built by the Jesuits from 1581-1607 and remodelled during the 18th century. It was one of the grandest churches of the whole altiplano region until it was destroyed by lightning in 1914 and is now a ruin. Fortunately its magnificent main entrance facade remains in good condition. More images of details in addition to those shown here are available, please get in touch if interested!
